Introduction
For all professional graduates of the program of Mechanical Engineering, the Universidad Tecnologica de Pereira offers the possibility to further explore in this educational proposal, while promoting research process. The Master in Mechanical Engineering will design, intervene and give maintenance to any mechanical or thermal system. It will also support manufacturing and machine design processes, thermal systems, mechanical power, among others.
Objective
The program has two primary lines worth mentioning: Mechanical Design and Thermal Systems. The program will be held in the daytime mode with duration of four semesters.
It will provide advanced training that will enable the student to further develop skills in the areas mentioned, allowing the solution of particular problems of the industry through the appropriation of scientific and technological knowledge.
Occupational Profile
The graduate will use their potential to develop their ability to analyze, synthesize, design, standardize, specify, model, simulate, fabricate, install, implement, test, expert witness, intervene or maintain mechanical or thermal equipment and systems.
The skills listed above may be considered as professional skills. However, the curriculum should also take into account the general or common skills (second language, mathematics, computational techniques and computers, overall education, etc.), the Basic Skills or of emphasis defined by the line of research interest chosen by the student, in-depth skills and research skills.
