Introduction The Electrical Technology Program is a part of the Faculty of Technology. It was created by the agreement number 20 of November 21, 1961 of the Superior Council of the Universidad Tecnologica de Pereira and was authorized to begin operating by the agreement Number 10 of February 28, 1962, issued by the Administrative Committee of the Colombian Association of Universities. The Electrical Technology Program began operating the first half of 1966 and is accredited by the Ministry of Education by resolution 1819 of August 4, 2003 for a period of five years.
