Migration is a topic of interest to almost all countries and communities. The number of international migrants is estimated at 214 million, of which 4 million are Colombians. This is a new and increasing fact in many of its expressions and social, economic, political and cultural conditions. Its complexity demands that professionals from many disciplines specialize in it, in order to understand and interpret it, and to suggest actions and policies to manage it, leading to enhance its benefits and reduce its negative consequences.

This has led to the Red Alma Mater, and the Universidad Tecnologica de Pereira and the Universidad de Caldas, as part of it, to design this curriculum.
